Seedling 07-62 is John Rice's Total Commitment crossed with Patrick Stamile's Stenciled Impressions. Although Total Commitment does not show a well patterned eye, I have used it heavily in my pattern breeding. When crossed with a pattern eye Total Commitment seedlings take on some very interesting patterns - totally different than either parent. Total Commitment has excellent plant habit here in the difficult growing conditions of a hard zone 4 Vermont garden. I start between 1800-2500 seedlings in the house each January and get 90% bloom in 18 months. The seedling area is divided into 3 beds - new, 1st year and 2nd year seedlings. After their 2nd year the picks are moved and the rest composted to make room for the next new seedlings.
