Elemér Barabits is a nurseryman in Székesfehérvár, Hungary. He is the owner and manager of one of the largest nurseries in Hungary. Adjacent to the nursery is a beautiful garden center. Elemér has been collecting daylily cultivars for twelve years, after a round trip to the USA. He started his hybridizing program with 400 named daylilies ten years ago.
Using the latest cultivars he is raising thousands of seedlings every year. In the garden there is an impressive collection, plus a lot of other perennials, ornamental trees and shrubs.
Janos Bodor is not the owner of the garden but editor in chief of a number of Hungarian Gardening Magazines - he took the pictures of the Barabits' garden on display here.
