Space, Golden Retrievers, and Airplanes - three of our favorite things.
We really feel like citizens of North America, rather than citizens of the US or Canada. My ancestors migrated up through New England and to South Barnston Quebec in 1809, some of the first settlers, clearing land and building a log cabin. My grandfather moved his family to Long Island, NY in the early 1900's but some of the relatives remained here. I was born in New Jersey and spent summers of my young life there, but my wife and I moved our young family back here to my ancestral home from the mid-west in October 1970, sort of "back to the landers" looking for quality in life. My oldest son Kal became an aeronautical engineer, graduating from Embry-Riddle, after helping his dad and mom rebuild a wrecked Aeronca Champ 7AC airplane, and is now married and works for the US Navy at Pautuxet River NAS in MD. My daughter Melody graduated from Bishops University here in Quebec, is married and has one of our very intelligent Goldens that is well trained due their effort. My youngest son is still taking computer courses and works in computers, his favorite field, but lucky for me is also my right hand man around the farm- especially in summer. He can solve any problem that requires logic.
My wife and partner Carole died in September 1990, but I am very lucky to have remarried a special lovely lady- Tonie Weller- ask her sometime about her very interesting past. I am a low tech/hi tech person who enjoys grinding grain to make flour to make bread, building and improving robots, inventing and imagineering the future, and helping various organizations. I am a builder of concepts and things. Some people live in the past or present, I think I enjoy "Future" the most.
