Father Or Not
By Pascale P.In a dark corner of the forest, there were living animals. But not just normal animals(otherwise there will not be a story). These animals could talk. They could talk and transform themselves into humans. They did it just when it was very important. They were living happily with no problems because they didn't know what was going to happen. Not even the wolf leader, Seasam.
A girl named Sandy was walking to her house with her suitcase full of homework. She had just finished her day at school and had to hurry up because it was her turn to make the supper. Her father was dead. Her mother told her it was because he went in the forest and he never came home again. Sandy never saw her father and was very sad about that but she knew he had the same green eyes.
When she arrived at her mailbox, Sandy took the mail in it and brought the letters into her small white house. The twelve year old girl did the supper for her mother. Sandy's mother was so severe. She never let Sandy play with her friends or read for five minutes... The girl loved her mother but not as much as she could.
That noon the mother said to her daughter, "Go in the forest we need some mushrooms for supper. Go get some." That noon Sandy walked alone to the forest with her small brown basket ready to put her mushrooms in it.
In the forest she saw a little white thing. Sandy walked nearer to know what the little fur ball was. Just when she put her hand ready to touch it...BONG! It was just a cute rabbit. It ran into his cave fast as he could. The girl followed him. She went in the cave and saw a big hole in the wall made of rock. A big hole that she could pass through. Sandy thought, "I'm so curious. What will mother say when she'll know I went there? Whatever, I'll answer I was looking for mushrooms." And she entered in the hole...
The rabbit was still running. He ran to Seasam and cried, "Mast...Master! A girl is coming...coming here!
"What?" Seasam said. "How did she find the place?"
"She followed me, sir! I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault, Sam. I'll transform myself into a human and talk to her."
Sandy walked and she found the place so beautiful with fresh air but then a man stopped her. She was surprised. What was he doing here? She looked at his face and... It was impossible! He looked like her, the same green eyes. And the face was very much the same too. He was her...FATHER!!
"Dad?" she tried.
"Sandy? My daughter Sandy!?"
He took her in his arms and gave her a big hug. "Oh, my God Dad! I don't understand. What are you doing here? Mom told me you were...were dead."
"She said that? I'm not dead, I'm here. I'm...eee well... look."
He took a breath of air and transformed himself into a wolf. Sandy didn't know what to say. Her dad a wolf?
"Dad, What is that? You can transform yourself into a wolf? You're an animal? how?"
"I can't say that now. I have a question for you. A big one. Do you want to come with me and live with me in the forest with the others?"
"Well... Mom let me do nothing! If I come with you will you love me? Anyway I'll never survive!"
"Of course I love you and I'll continue to love my little girl. I have missed you all the years I was in the forest. You never know you can transform yourself too? I'll show you if you come."
Sandy accepted. She and her father talked a long time together and now she knows all about her father. And what happened to her mother? She didn't cry when her girl didn't come home. "She never loved me, thought Sandy, but now it doesn't matter because I'm with someone who loves me."
That night we heard just two wolves howling, Sandy and Seasam.
