Interview With Sophie Vaillancourt
By: Ludovic L. and Eric E.Today, the 15th of May, a special person came in the class, her name is Sophie Vaillancourt. She went in class for about 30 minutes and she told us about her job. The name of her job is Speech and Language Pathologist. She speaks in English very well but sometime she employs French words such as "bien, t'sé and là." To do her job she has to be gentle with kids. She has to love and respect them. She likes the school system and likes to speak. She likes to work hard. Some parents speak only English then she has to speak English, too. She speaks English because during her life she reads books, watches T.V, watches movies, listens to music and listens to the radio. Before doing her job she worked with English people at the Canadian customs. When she was a child she wanted to be a teacher. At her job she works 35 hours a week but she also prepares things at her house after work. She has 18 schools to visit. She told us that she is seeing about 2 hundreds kids this year. The most difficult thing in her job is to bring all her stuff to her 18 schools. Thank you for talking to us about your job and yourself Sophie.
